Benefits of nasal breathing
Reduce snoring, improve performance, and more.
Nasal breathing helps reduce snoring by increasing airway stability and reducing the vibration of soft tissues in the throat.

Nasal breathing enhances oxygen exchange due to the nose’s filtration and humidification functions, leading to better oxygen absorption in the lungs compared to mouth breathing.

The nasal passages produce nitric oxide, a molecule that plays a critical role in vasodilation, improving blood flow and oxygen delivery to tissues.

Nasal breathing can help reduce bad breath by keeping the mouth closed and maintaining a moist oral environment. When you breathe through your nose, saliva production is stimulated, which helps to cleanse the mouth of odor-causing bacteria.

Rhinomed knows noses
Dilators? Mouth Tape? Nasal Strips? What’s best for me?
We often get asked which product is right for people. Mute Nasal Dilators are designed and made with softer polymers for sleep and snoring. Turbine Nasal Dilators are a more robust option for use during sport and exercise. They both open the nose from within for maximum increase in airflow. And Mute Mouth Tape can be used on its own or pair with either dilator to help you breathe more through your nose.

1m+ customers love Mute & Turbine ★★★★★
Best Anti-Snore Nasal Dilator
“I tried every single product to help breathe better at night and none of them was as effective as this.”
★★★★★
Works really well
“It’s the only nasal dilator that works for me when I’m working out. External dilators like the Breathe Right strips come off when I’m sweating a lot, and a lot of the internal ones are too smooth and start to slide out or move around. These stay in place very well.”

Worth every cent!
“The very first night I used the medium and it was the first time in years that I slept through the night and actually woke up feeling rested and didn’t have to drag myself out of bed. My family confirmed that I did not snore at all during the night.”

Frequently asked questions
And answers too.
Mute has been designed with the anatomy of your nose in mind. It sits comfortably in the nose and by gently dilating the airway, it may alleviate nasal congestion and obstruction, making it easier to breathe. By breathing more freely through the nose, the need to breathe through the mouth is eliminated, which is a common cause of snoring. Mute is available in 3 sizes (small, medium and large) and has a patented independently adjustable dilation system to further personalise the fit to each nostril.
Once the snorer has correctly fitted Mute, they should be able to feel a noticeable increase in airflow through the nose immediately. By using Mute each night, both the snorer and their partner may feel the benefits of uninterrupted sleep from the very first night. Regular sleep interruptions caused by snoring may interfere with your natural 90 minute sleep cycle, preventing you from reaching the deep sleep phase. It’s critical the body reaches the deep sleep phase to recover physically and mentally from daily activities. Using Mute over time to improve sleep quality may produce many individual health benefits including a reduction in daytime drowsiness and an improvement in mood, concentration and memory.
We offer a Mute Trial Pack which contains a small, medium and large inside. Generally, women are either small or medium and men are likely to be medium or large. With a Trial Pack, you can try all three and see which is most comfortable for you.
Mute nasal device is not for the treatment of sleep apnea. If you think that your snoring may be a symptom of sleep apnea, you should consult your doctor or a sleep specialist.
Our nasal respiratory technologies, Mute and Turbine are both designed to make breathing easier during sleep or during exercise, increasing airflow on average, up to 38%. However, as the needs of the sleeper and the athlete are very different, we have built some different features in to each product.
During sleep, the device needs to be light and flexible to ensure it sits inside the nose comfortably throughout the night. To achieve this we have used more flexible and transparent materials to allow for different sleeping positions.
For sport, comfort and retention during percussive movement is vital, so aside from choosing a different material combination, we have included additional retention features on the paddles and curved arms to comfortably hold it in place.
Mute Mouth Tape is a specially designed circular breathable adhesive tape that gently closes your mouth while you sleep, encouraging nasal breathing and improving overall sleep quality.
Mute Mouth Tape is round specifically so that it doesn’t entirely cover your mouth, meaning you can still breathe through the sides of your mouth if needed. In our testing, we found that this shape both helped keep your mouth closed, but reduced the feeling of being gagged or restrained.
Mute Mouth Tape promotes nasal breathing, which can reduce snoring, enhance oxygen intake, and prevent dry mouth, leading to better sleep and overall health.
Most users will notice improvements within a few nights, though it may take longer for your body to fully adjust to the new breathing pattern.
Yes, Mute Mouth Tape is safe for use during sleep. It has been designed to ensure you can still open your mouth if necessary.
Yes, the adhesive is hypoallergenic and designed to be gentle on all skin types, minimizing the risk of irritation. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult your doctor.
Turbine is a globally patented nasal dilator, designed to fit comfortably inside the nose and gently open each individual nostril to allow more airflow during sport, physical exertion or focused breathing (such as yoga and meditation).
Turbine increases airflow through the nose by an average of 38%, helping to reduce the feeling of breathlessness. Simply put, by dilating your nose (even slightly) you can increase the amount of air going in and also, importantly, increase the amount of exhaust air (CO2) you can expel. And, as you know, when you’re going hard, every little bit helps.
Using Turbine allows you to breathe more efficiently with every breath, enabling the body to focus energy on the muscles that need it, when they need it.
When exercising, oxygen is extracted from the air in your lungs, absorbed into the blood stream and circulated to enable muscular contraction. Supplying your exercising muscles with the air they need, has a high energy cost; Turbine may help reduce this. Try it today and find out for yourself.
Turbine is made from an ultra soft medical-grade polymer and is designed to follow the internal anatomical structures of the nose. The device gently dilates each individual nostril, via an adjustable ratchet mechanism, without putting pressure on the septum and can be worn comfortably for many hours.
Both Turbine and Mute are moulded with ultra soft medical grade polymers which do not contain BPA or Phthalates. BPA is typically associated with polycarbonate and phthalates with PVC. In addition, both materials are latex free.
